\r\n\t\t\tLong-Duration Elastomeric Pump (Infusor)\t<\/h2>\r\n\t

The Intermate elastomeric pump allows slow and continuous administration of medication intravenously or subcutaneously over several hours or days, depending on the prescribed flow rate.<\/p>\r\n

*This type of device uses your body temperature to regulate the medication’s flow rate. It is important to place the “Luer-lock” connector directly against the skin (white tip at the end <\/strong>of the tubing).<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\"Group\r\n

\r\n\t\t\t*Important note – Flushing with NaCl syringe:\t<\/h3>\r\n\t
    \r\n
  • It is important to flush the catheter using a pre-filled syringe of saline solution (NaCl).<\/li>\r\n
  • The frequency of flushing may vary depending on your treatment – make sure to follow the specific instructions provided by your hospital team.<\/li>\r\n
  • Before administering your medication, always take a moment to review the recommended flushing procedure for your situation.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

    \r\n\t\t\tMedication administration\t<\/h3>\r\n\t

    *This type of device uses your body temperature to properly regulate the medication’s flow rate. It is important to place the “Luer lock” connector directly against the skin (white tip at the end of the tubing). <\/p>\r\n

      \r\n
    • Disinfect the catheter cap with an alcohol swab for 15 seconds:\r\n
        \r\n
      1. the top and sides.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
      2. Allow to air-dry for 30 seconds (do not blow, fan or wipe).<\/li>\r\n
      3. Connect the tubing from the infuser to the catheter cap:\r\n
          \r\n
        1. Remove the protective cap from the infuser tubing.<\/li>\r\n
        2. Hold the catheter cap between your thumb and index finger.<\/li>\r\n
        3. Insert the tubing and turn to the right.<\/li>\r\n
        4. Open the clamp on the infuser tubing.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n
        5. If there are clamps on the catheter or its extension, open them.<\/li>\r\n
        6. Place the infuser in its pouch and wear it over the shoulder or position it at heart level (aligned with the catheter).<\/li>\r\n
        7. The infuser is empty when the internal balloon is completely flat.<\/li>\r\n
        8. Once empty, close all clamps on the tubing and catheter.<\/li>\r\n
