This method allows your antibiotic to be administered automatically at the prescribed times through the infusion pump. The antibiotic is prepared in a bag connected to tubing, which remains attached to your catheter at all times.

The pump delivers a small amount of medication continuously, 24 hours a day, to prevent blockage of your intravenous catheter.
