Long-Duration Elastomeric Pump (Infusor)
The Intermate elastomeric pump allows slow and continuous administration of medication intravenously or subcutaneously over several hours or days, depending on the prescribed flow rate.
*This type of device uses your body temperature to regulate the medication’s flow rate. It is important to place the “Luer-lock” connector directly against the skin (white tip at the end of the tubing).

*Important note – Flushing with NaCl syringe:
- It is important to flush the catheter using a pre-filled syringe of saline solution (NaCl).
- The frequency of flushing may vary depending on your treatment — make sure to follow the specific instructions provided by your hospital team.
- Before administering your medication, always take a moment to review the recommended flushing procedure for your situation.

- Remove the protective cap from the infuser tubing.
- Hold the catheter cap between your thumb and index finger.
- Insert the tubing and turn to the right.
- Open the clamp on the infuser tubing.
- If there are clamps on the catheter or its extension, open them.
- Place the infuser in its pouch and wear it over the shoulder or position it at heart level (aligned with the catheter).
- The infuser is empty when the internal balloon is completely flat.
- Once empty, close all clamps on the tubing and catheter.
- Disconnect the tubing by turning it to the left.
